Nothing says the high-lidays like an infused cannabis apple cider. Pour yourself a discreet cup to get through small chat with that one cousin at the gathering, or just make some to relax after a long day of prepping food and gifts. Whatever the occasion, this recipe is gold for taking it to the next level.

Disclaimer: I am going to show you how to make a cannabis caramel sauce that you can swirl into a hot cup of cider. I am not showing you how to make cannabis apple cider on its own. It’s all in the caramel.

Here’s everything you need to know:

How to make cannabis-infused caramel sauce

You only need four ingredients for this:

  • 4 tbsp cannabis-infused coconut oil (I don’t like repeating myself. I show you how to make it in my cannabis bath melts recipe
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup lightly packed brown sugar

Place the sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir every few minutes, allowing the sugar to dissolve into the water. This should take anywhere from 5-10 minutes.

Transfer the dissolved brown sugar and water into a cup and add vanilla and the cannabis coconut oil. Stir well until the ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Place in the fridge and allow the caramel to thicken up before serving. If you’re impatient, you can just toss it into the apple cider before it fully thickens. After all, it’s going to dissolve and taste the same.

Coconut oil resolidifies over time, so you may need to take it out of the fridge or heat up a little for future uses.

Delicious cider recipe for your canna-caramel apple cider

A pot on a stove filled with liquid, apple slices, and a whole spice, likely for simmering apple cider or mulled fruit.

You can add cannabis caramel to anything. An apple, popcorn, and of course, delicious apple cider. Try this recipe for a tasty winter drink:

  • 1.5 cups apple cider
  • Splash of orange juice
  • Several cinnamon sticks
  • Chopped ginger (I highly recommend placing it in a tea baller so you don’t have to strain)
  • Optional: sliced apples and oranges

Bring all of the ingredients to a simmer in a saucepan and serve. This recipe serves one person, so be sure to adjust your ratios if you are serving more people.

That’s it. Enjoy!
